Posted October 05, 2026 · Marc Nadim Zeenny
Dear All,

On behalf of the AUBMUN Conference team, we are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 10th Edition of the American University of Beirut Model United Nations Conference (AUBMUNC 2027)!

Get a glimpse of what awaits your students by watching last year’s highlights!

For ten years, AUBMUNC has given students the chance to debate global issues, sharpen their public speaking and diplomacy, and experience university-level simulation at AUB. As we celebrate this milestone, we would be proud to have your students be part of it.

Delegates will research, debate, and negotiate in English, the official language of the conference and of all its committees.

Register Your Delegation
Deadline: November 23, 2026

If you are no longer responsible for Model United Nations activities at your institution, we would be grateful if you could forward this message to the appropriate administrator or advisor and, if possible, share their name and contact information with us so we may update our records and contact them directly in the future.

The AUBMUNC Experience
Throughout the AUBMUNC journey, delegates build knowledge, confidence, and lasting skills:

  • A complete preparation pathway: dedicated training, preparation resources, an on-campus Mock Conference, and the Official Conference at AUB, so that both first-time and experienced delegates arrive prepared to participate meaningfully.
  • An accessible experience for all levels: prior MUN experience is not required. AUBMUNC helps beginners build confidence while offering experienced delegates the depth and challenge they expect from a major conference.
  • Meaningful student development: delegates strengthen public speaking, research, negotiation, teamwork, critical thinking, leadership, and persuasive communication through hands-on practice rather than classroom instruction alone.
  • Exposure to diverse perspectives: students engage with delegates from different schools, backgrounds, and communities, learning to defend their own positions while understanding those of others.
  • A broad range of committees and topics: political, humanitarian, economic, legal, environmental, and other contemporary issues, allowing schools to involve students with different interests and strengths.
  • Recognition and opportunities: eligible delegates receive certificates of participation and may be recognized through conference awards. Exceptional participants may also gain access to scholarships, internships, and academic and professional opportunities offered through AUBMUNC and its partners, subject to availability and eligibility.
  • An experience at AUB: the official conference is hosted on the American University of Beirut campus, allowing students to experience a university environment while taking part in high-level academic debate and diplomacy.
  • A large and diverse conference environment: AUBMUNC brings together students from schools across Lebanon and beyond, allowing delegates to form new connections and compete, collaborate, and exchange ideas outside their usual school environment.

New This Year Middle School Delegations
To mark our 10th edition, AUBMUNC 2027 welcomes both middle school delegations (grades 7 to 9) and high school delegations. This is an opportunity for younger students to build confidence, public speaking skills, and teamwork early, in a supported environment, and to prepare for high school MUN.

The modalities for all school delegations are as follows:
Deadline: November 23, 2026
Delegate fee: $90 for private and semi-private schools; a discounted price is available for public schools (requested by petition).
Covers the Mandatory Training Session, the On-Campus Mock Conference, the Final Conference, opportunities, scholarships, awards, and the stationery delegates use throughout the program.
Advisor fee: $35, required for all delegations.
Up to four per institution; additional advisors may be requested by petition.
Please make sure to settle the advisor fee for each of your advisors.
Chaperone fee: $35, required only for middle school delegations.
Each middle school delegation must be accompanied by at least one adult advisor, referred to as a chaperone. Middle school delegates will be double-delegated; we encourage schools to form delegations with an even number of delegates.
Payment: TBA. Payment details will be communicated at a later stage.Because this is a new addition, we warmly encourage schools with middle school students to join us and register their interest.

Stay Connected
Your institution may not yet have an assigned Outreach Coordinator. Until one is assigned, our team is available to assist with any registration inquiries. Once assigned, your coordinator will be your primary point of contact throughout the AUBMUNC cycle.

Ten years on, AUBMUNC remains a place where students discover their voice, and we would be honored to help your students find theirs. We look forward to welcoming your institution to the 10th Edition at the American University of Beirut!
