Rooted in liberal learning. Connected to the world.

The AUB Model United Nations Conference (AUBMUNC) is a student-led conference headquartered at the American University of Beirut, one of the Arab world's most prestigious institutions. Since our founding, we have brought together students from across Lebanon and the wider region through rigorous diplomatic simulations that foster debate, collaboration, and intellectual growth.

Rooted in AUB's commitment to liberal learning and civic engagement, our work mirrors the real challenges confronting the United Nations—from climate security and global economic governance to international humanitarian law.

  1. UN-aligned diplomacy Authentic rules of procedure let delegates engage with the frameworks of real multilateral diplomacy.
  2. Liberal arts foundation Interdisciplinary, critical thinking shapes every committee and invites creativity alongside rigour.
  3. Community and inclusion We recruit across Lebanon and prioritize breadth of participation, access, and diverse perspectives.
